An independent guide to an official process
NIOS — the National Institute of Open Schooling — runs admissions, exams and results. We sit beside you while you work through it: explaining the rules in plain language, helping you plan subjects and preparation, and pointing you to the right official page.
Because we are independent, we always send you to NIOS for anything official — and we never promise admission or results.

Check official NIOS information
- Class 10 eligibility
- Passed Class 8, with valid proof that you are at least 14 years old.
- Class 12 eligibility
- Passed the Secondary course from a recognised board, and at least 15 years old as on 31 July of the year of admission.
- Public exams
- Held twice a year, in April–May and October–November, on dates NIOS fixes.
- On-Demand Exams
- NIOS learners can also take exams at Secondary and Senior Secondary level when they feel prepared.
- Admission validity
- Once registered, an NIOS admission is valid for five years.

Applying to NIOS
NIOS offers fully online admission at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. You can register on the NIOS website yourself, or get help at a study centre, a facilitation centre, a Regional Centre or a Common Services Centre.

Class 6–12 tuition is a separate service
Through Education Care Centre, our associated coaching service, we offer subject-wise tuition and academic and exam preparation for Classes 6 to 12. Tuition is paid coaching and is separate from NIOS admission guidance — you can use either one on its own.

Are you an official NIOS centre?
No. NIOS Admission Delhi is an independent guidance and coaching service. We are not part of, or affiliated with, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or any government body. Admission itself is done through NIOS's own online process, and the official rules are the ones published on nios.ac.in.
Who can apply for NIOS Class 10?
NIOS says you can apply for the Secondary course if you have passed Class 8 and have valid proof that you are at least 14 years old. See the Class 10 guide for documents and subjects.
Who can apply for NIOS Class 12?
You need to have passed the Secondary course from a recognised board and be at least 15 years old as on 31 July of the year of admission. The Class 12 guide covers the rest.
Can I give NIOS exams when I am ready instead of waiting for the main exams?
NIOS learners can use the On-Demand Examination System at Secondary and Senior Secondary level, in the subjects they are admitted to. There are rules on months and centres, which the On-Demand Exams guide explains.
Can you guarantee admission or a pass?
No. Nobody outside NIOS can guarantee admission, and results depend on the learner's exams. What we offer is clear guidance and, separately, tuition to help with preparation.
