NIOS syllabus guide
The official NIOS syllabus tells you exactly what each subject covers and how the exam is set. Here is where to find it, what the downloads contain and how to use them to plan your study.
Where to find the official syllabus
NIOS publishes course material on its own website, organised by level:

What each file is for
On the Secondary courses page, many subjects have a single download that bundles the syllabus with a sample paper, a marking scheme and the question paper design. Each one does a different job:
- Syllabus — the topics and units the subject covers.
- Question paper design — how the exam is structured.
- Sample paper — an example of the kind of paper to expect.
- Marking scheme — how answers to the sample paper are marked.
